Terms of Service

1. The service

CardBase ("CardBase", "we") operates an online peer-to-peer marketplace where registered users ("Users") can list, buy, and sell sports and collectible cards ("Cards"). CardBase is a neutral platform: we are not the seller or buyer of Cards listed on the marketplace, and we do not take ownership of Cards at any point.

2. Accounts

You must register an account to use most features. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials confidential, and take responsibility for all activity in your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to register.

3. Listings

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of every listing, including photos, condition, grading, and any authenticity claims. Listings that infringe third-party rights, contain counterfeit items, or are otherwise unlawful are prohibited and may be removed. CardBase may define and update minimum price rules to cover platform fees.

Before publishing listings, sellers must complete Stripe Connect onboarding and configure shipping fees.

4. Payments

All payments on CardBase are processed by Stripe. By buying or selling, you also accept Stripe's terms. CardBase charges a platform fee on every successful sale, shown at checkout and in the seller dashboard. Seller payouts are released through Stripe Connect after order delivery is confirmed or the review period closes without a dispute.

5. Shipping and delivery

Sellers ship Cards directly to buyers using the options they enable, including FoxPost parcel points in supported countries and domestic/EU postal shipping. Sellers must ship on time and provide tracking information where possible.

6. Returns, issues, and disputes

If a delivered Card does not match the listing, buyers should first try to resolve the issue with the seller through Messages. If that fails, open a support ticket. CardBase may mediate and, where justified, reverse a payout or initiate a refund through the Stripe platform. Statutory consumer rights, where applicable, remain unaffected.

7. Prohibited conduct

• Fraudulent, misleading, or counterfeit listings.
• Requests for off-platform payments to avoid fees or protections.
• Harassment, hate speech, or abuse of other users.
• Automated scraping, reverse engineering, or attempts to compromise platform security.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, CardBase is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from transactions between Users.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and registered users may also be notified by email.
